| Hats |
This should be a short page, hats were worn by everyone at all most all times, That being said there were more styles and types of hats than you shake a milliner's needle at.
It was the custom in all of Europe to wear some form of headgear for both sexes and al all times.
The "consterate and courtious" practice of removing your hat indoors is another of those Victorian affectation we still live with and think it came frome the good old days, when in fact they would have had nothing to do with it. There were a few times you would take off your hat, like in the presence of some kings in some areas and those times are so infrequent just don't worry about them.
