This Web Site is about the history and construction of the clothing worn in Europe before the rise of The Cotehardie & Houppelande. So it will be mostly about Norse (Viking) garb to the Bliaud A period roughly from AD 400 -
I know there isn't much text in this site yet, but I am working on it and I do hope you will find the images in the galleries of greater use at this time.
Now those of you who know me, or have heard me talk about the clothing from this era, will have heard me say many times. That
the T-tunic is a
bag with sleeves and a hole for your head. and for the most part this is true, to a certain degree. There are many more garments of note from this period and tis site is going to show them.
