About Genra
As far as movie genra are concerned, her are a few sweeping generalisation I can make about the big Genra:
Action:
Bang, Pow, Boom, and that stuff, I don't much care for the violence and cliff hanger stuff but there are some of this genra I like, it depends on the story
Adventure:

Animated:
I find that far too many people are stuck in the falacious idea that cartoons are for kids. some of the best told stories I have ever seen were animated, some wel and some not, but that is unimportant, Many critisize movies like Wariors of the Wind and Light Years for their "crude" japanese cartoonie style but that dosen't matter to the story.
"Chick Flick:"
I enjoy a lot of these flicks too, they are ussually all about the story.
Comedy:
I love a good comedy, I like to laugh . I would recomend that you See Anything By Buster Keaton, Charles Chaplin, and Harold Lloyd. also good are many of the films by Fatty Arbuckle, Harry Langdon and Stan Laurel Laurel & Hardy) did several great funnies too :o)
Documentry:
I like these, but then I like to learn things
Historical:

Horror:
[There are no good Horror Movies]
Love Story:

Musiscals:

Political:

"Tear Jerker:"
I really like these, when you think about it they are mostly story, and sometimes it is well told, some times they suck. So it is a bit of a toss up as to which on a movie might be. Ussually if I can get a good cry out of it it's a really good one:o)
War:
I like some of these, again depending on ho the story is told. many are like action, adventure, westerns.
Western:
Many of these have a good story, but a lot are formulaic and dull to me.

Favorite Movies
Click to E-MailI likes a good story and movies are just one of many ways to tell a story. like the ancient greecs I can know the story before hands and still enjoy the play because the most valuable part is the presentation. what maters most to me is how the story is told, does it come alive, am I in the story. My favorite form of taking in a story is to hear it read or told to me, I can "see the movie" in my mind, I think I could make a fantastic movie director. I wish I could get a lot of money and could direct movies of the short stories of Cordwainer Smith's The Rediscovery of Man or as it should be called the Instrumentality of Mankind. However I digress:o)
I have made a list of many movie titles which I have seen, and I consider them to well worth seeing. I like these movies for a variety of reasons, which I can't get in to right now.
