A giant Sikorsky helicopter took down the crane used in constructing the tower and erected the mast in three and one-half weeks - compared with six months by conventional methods. Fifty-five lifts were involved - an operation which carried the CN Tower above Moscow's Ostankino Tower to Canada's first world record height.
